As a law firm, Inkster Christie Hughes LLP has a duty to hold in strict confidence all information concerning the personal and business affairs of our clients which we may acquire in the course of our professional relationship. As a part of that duty we do not divulge any information we obtain in the course of that relationship unless disclosure is expressly or impliedly authorized by the client or is required by law or otherwise permitted by law and in accordance with the Law Society Code of Conduct.

As a result, any personal information, which is provided to Inkster Christie Hughes LLP in the course of our professional relationship with clients, shall be held in strict confidence.

Where we are required to disclose information by law, no more information than is necessary will be disclosed.
We endeavour to maintain the accuracy of any information in our possession on active matters. However, information which is contained in documents where a file has been closed is not actively updated or maintained. This information is securely stored and, subject to compliance with Law Society direction, is periodically destroyed when no longer required by our clients or by Inkster Christie Hughes LLP for our business purposes.
